Brett Bissell of Strategic Financial Group brings to his clients over fifteen years of professional experience in the finance and insurance arena spanning all levels of business and personal finance planning.
Brett began his career during college, performing telephone sales duties for a general business broker. Upon graduation, he accepted the opportunity to work with a well-established managed health care organization designing benefits plans. As an Assistant Sales Representative, he embraced the business and was promoted to Account Executive almost immediately. After three years, he was awarded the role of Director of National Sales, managing and developing a sales team and forging relationships with senior executives of health care companies, with some involvement in mergers and acquisitions. During his seven-year tenure, Brett helped to increase company revenues five-fold and was awarded the honor of Salesperson of the Year on two occasions.
Although his position as Director of National Sales was rewarding in many respects, Brett felt a need to gain some independence and make a more direct impact on the lives of individuals and small business owners. In October 1996, Brett became a financial representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Brett’s knowledge, along with the company’s resources, allows him to provide his clients with a variety of services including education funding, investment services, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, life insurance and retirement solutions.
To have the unique advantage of providing his business clients with extended resources in the area of executive and employee benefits, Brett became a Founding Principal of Strategic Benefits Group, LLC in 1999. As a Principal, Brett partners with companies to help design, develop and implement executive and employee benefits programs that enable them to recruit, reward and retain their most important commodity… their team.
Brett is extremely satisfied with the career decision he made in 1996, and hasn’t looked back since.
